ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.47 g, 12 h), circa 165-150/49. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE Owl standing facing on Amphora; in fields to left and right, two monograms; to lower left, grain-ear; all within olive-wreath. Thompson 54. Rare. The obverse somewhat rough and with patchy toning, otherwise, very fine.
